The benefits of a comprehensive assessment
An assessment offers clarity on lifelong challenges and effectively distinguishes Autism from other conditions with similar presentations. It tailors interventions for social, educational, and work environments, easing associated mental health challenges by providing understanding. This process enhances self-acceptance and awareness of personal strengths and challenges while improving communication and understanding in personal and professional relationships. It supports requests for accommodations to enhance job performance and opens doors to services, supports, and legal protections, guiding everyday decisions aligned with individual strengths and needs.
What it includes:
- X 2 hours Clinical Interview: A detailed interview conducted by a trained clinician using the MIGDAS to gather information about the individual's developmental history, early behaviors, social interactions, communication abilities, sensory needs, and current concerns.
- X4 at home self and observer reports
- Competition of at home questionnaires
- X 1 hour Feedback and Recommendations: Providing feedback to the individual and their family or support network regarding the assessment findings, diagnosis (if applicable), and recommendations for interventions, support services, and accommodations. Planning for ongoing support, interventions, or referrals to other specialists or services based on the individual's needs identified during the assessment.
- Comprehensive report of diagnosis and autistic profile, which can be used as a part of applications for support, such as NDIS.
