Amy Moylett

About me
I am a registered psychologist with over four years of experience working across both public and private sectors. I am currently undertaking a second Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, reflecting a strong commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.

My professional background includes working within the Department of Education, where I supported the diverse needs of students through assessment, consultation, and the design of school- and classroom-based supports and interventions. I have also worked with the WA Office of the Chief Psychiatrist, monitoring compliance with the Mental Health Act (2014) across inpatient units throughout Western Australia, contributing to systems-level quality and safety in mental health care.

My approach is autonomy-driven, flexible, and grounded in creating a comfortable, safe, and respectful therapeutic environment. I work collaboratively with clients to support meaningful improvements in quality of life, guided by their individual goals. This includes supporting wellbeing across social, academic or vocational, daily living, and family and community domains, with a strong appreciation that success and progress look different for each person.

Background + special interests
I provide evidence-based, trauma-informed psychological care, with a focus on supporting clients who are LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse, navigating dissociation, and exploring family and relational dynamics.

Areas of Interest
I work with children, teens, and young adults, providing support for parents as well. My practice is neurodiversity-affirming (including PDA) and LGBTQIA+ inclusive (including trans and gender-diverse clients and families). I support presentations including anxiety, depression, OCD, complex trauma and dissociation, attachment, and relationship difficulties.

What do you love most about the job? What drives you?
I am deeply motivated by supporting clients to develop self-understanding, reconnect with their values, and live in a way that feels authentic and purposeful. I find it meaningful to witness people uncover what truly matters to them, strengthen their sense of agency, and build practical strategies to create the life they want, while feeling supported and understood throughout the process.

Three words that describe you the most?
Flexible, client-centered, relationship-first.

What keeps you busy outside of work? What things are you learning at the moment?
Outside of work, I enjoy dancing and exploring various forms of art, including drawing, painting, and sewing. I also love reading and expanding my knowledge in philosophy, science, and history, always curious to learn and explore new ideas.

How do you play?
I enjoy dancing and spending time with animals, finding both to be energising and joyful ways to relax and reconnect with the world around me.
